Judas, best confident of Jesus, not a traitor

Master Jesus knew what was going to happen to him, knowing the future was one of his powers.

An example was when he told Peter that he will deny knowing Jesus 3 times.

He also needed someone to hand him over to the Romans to accomplish his mission and trusted his best friend apostol, Judas to do it.

Judas was not a traitor but in charge of a big responsibility.

"According to Science Magazine, the gospel of Judas, in contrast to the canonical gospels which paint Judas as a betrayer who delivered Jesus to the authorities for crucifixion in exchange for money, portrays Judas's actions as done in obedience to instructions given to him by Jesus. The gospel asserts that the other disciples had not learned the true Gospel, which Jesus taught only to Judas, the sole follower belonging to (or set apart from) the "holy generation" among the disciples."

"According to Elaine Pagels, for instance, Judas is portrayed as having a mission to hand Jesus over to the soldiers. She says that Bible translators have mistranslated the Greek word for "handing over" to "betrayal".

Like many Gnostic works, the Gospel of Judas refers to itself as a secret account, specifically "The secret account of the revelation that Jesus spoke in conversation with Judas Iscariot....

The Gospel of Judas states that Jesus told Judas "You shall be cursed for generations" and then added, "You will come to rule over them" and "You will exceed all of them, for you will sacrifice the man that clothes me."

Then Judas said to Jesus, "What will those do who've been baptized in your name?"

Jesus said, .....

Tomorrow they'll torture the one who bears me. Truly I [say] to you, no hand of a mortal human [will fall] upon me. Truly [I say] to you, Judas, those who offer sacrifices to Saklas […] everything that's evil. But you'll do more than all of them, because you'll sacrifice the human who bears me. Your horn has already been raised, your anger has been kindled, your star has ascended, and your heart has [strayed]. .....

Look, you've been told everything. Lift up your eyes and see the cloud with the light in it and the stars around it. And the star that leads the way is your star."

Then Judas looked up and saw the luminous cloud, and he entered it (UFO?). Those standing on the ground heard a voice from the cloud saying,  "[ . . . the] great [generation . . . ] and [ . . . ]." And Judas didn't see Jesus anymore.

Immediately there was a disturbance among [the] Jews, more than […] Their high priests grumbled because he'd gone into the guest room to pray. But some scribes were there watching closely so they could arrest him during his prayer, because they were afraid of the people, since they all regarded him as a prophet.

And they approached Judas and said to him, "What are you doing here? Aren't you Jesus' disciple?"

Then he answered them as they wished. Then Judas received some money and handed him over to them.
